Problemata is a discussion and media exercise about problems concerning on how technical devices artificially modify, filter, and module nature; in this case, the light that comes from the sun and goes inside the camera obscura. Mixing analog medium-plus electronic devices (digital camera + iPhone), these media exercises try to discuss what is real, what is symbolic and what is imaginary– when is mediated by apparatuses–, understanding the real as material space before the representation; the symbolic as spaces composed by symbols systems and, the imaginary as the space where there is no space for the real nor the symbolic (Kittler,1993).

Problemata takes its name from Friedrich Kittler’s reference to the so-called Aristotle document; a collection of notes with unsolved questions, a few of them about the solar eclipse and sun-light issues.
